Pacific Comics Club started simultaneously in France and Italy in the
mid 60's, under the direction of Tony Raiola. Most of the publications
were reprints of newspaper strips of the Golden Age in their original
language as well as in French and Italian. In publishing, careful
attention was paid to the sequence of panels and original colors. Later,
in addition to publishing, Pacific Comics Club went on to distribute
reprints done by other publishing houses that were producing some
significant strip reprints. Chief among these were Fantagraphics
Books, and Kitchen Sink Press.
